Comment 1:
Do you really need to show the indivdual hairs? You may find that a texture will
accomplish what you're looking for. Perhaps a texture similar to the brushed metal
surface included with LightWave.
Comment 2:
You can use strings of two-point polygons. Use the array command to make a bunch of
points where the bristles attach to the brush (or the new stipple plugin). Then use
the extrude command.
Comment 3:
Use a lot of long skinny cones as the bristles (yuk) Make a small four sided cone
(pyramid) with the base at the bristles attachment point and pointed away. Again
use the array command to replicate a bunch of these close together. Select the tip
